I work with organizations to communicate research for impact.

I train scientists to communicate more effectively about their work.

Things I can do for you…

Synthesize and translate research for impact

I work with report teams to synthesize research, develop succinct key messages, and translate jargon into language that won’t make non-specialists’ eyes glaze over.

Lead the report-writing process from start to finish

I work with teams to develop reports, research briefs, and all types of communication material. My process typically includes:

Strategy sessions: here, we decide who we’re writing for and why, and how best to reach them.

Write shops: I bring the team together to workshop content ideas, key messages, and report structure.

Writing and editing: I write or re-write report content, develop the narrative and make sure grammar, style and structure are watertight.

Guidance on visuals: I source powerful visual imagery and advise on graphics and report look and feel.

Develop interactive and engaging online learning material

As an experienced science communication trainer, I consult on developing online learning courses. I can help you design and develop e-learning curricula, lessons, and facilitated sessions that will keep students engaged.

Teach you to communicate about your research more effectively

One of my main aims is to improve the way researchers communicate about their work with non-specialists. To do this, I run a science communication training programme with the incredible Dr Tali Hoffman. Together, we have trained over 300 people from leading institutions, including UNEP and the FAO, to communicate more effectively about science.
